This team is dedicated to enhancing career and work opportunities for:
- School pupils.
- Young people who are living in, or preparing to leave, care.
- Those who are unemployed or not in employment, education, or training.
We provide support and advice, delivering a range of programmes to improve employability and employment prospects.
Programmes for children who are looked-after
Step in the Right Direction Traineeship Programme offers a two-year, paid traineeship for young people aged 16-25 who are living in, have left, or are preparing to leave care in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Trainees are given work opportunities in a range of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council departments.
Care2Work
This programme provides care-experienced young people, who are aged 16-25, with the encouragement and support they need to identify and access a range of employment and training opportunities.
