Resurfacing scheme in Dinas requires local bus arrangements

temporary-bus-arrangements

A local road closure and temporary bus arrangements will be used during an upcoming resurfacing scheme at Graigddu Road and Vicarage Road in Dinas.

The work will take place from Tuesday to Friday next week (August 27-30), requiring a local road closure between Graigddu Road’s junctions with Dinas Road and Aubery Road.

The closure area and alternative routes are outlined on the following map on the Council’s website.

An alternative route will be available via Vicarage Road, Dinas Road, and the A4058 – or this route in reverse order.

Access will be maintained for emergency services, pedestrians, and to all premises. Cyclists can dismount and take the pedestrian route.

During the work, bus users are advised that Thomas of Rhondda’s service 173 (Clydach Vale-Porth) will be unable to serve Graigddu Road, Aubrey Road, Vicarage Road, Bank Street and James Street. The service will instead operate via Amos Hill.

The resurfacing work is being delivered via the Council’s combined £7.5m capital programme for carriageway and footway renewals in 2024/25.

Thanks to local residents and public transport users in advance for your cooperation.
