Introducing our Sustainable Food Coordinator

My name is Rhiannon Edwards and I took over from Sam Evans as the Sustainable Food Coordinator for Rhondda Cynon Taf in December 2023. I have a background in working with food manufactures across the UK.
Rhiannon EdwardsOver the last few months, I have been settling in to the role and getting to know the amazing groups and individuals that make up the RCT Food Partnership.

It is a privilege to come in as the partnership has been awarded Bronze from Sustainable Food Places. It is a testament to the passion and commitment of everyone in the partnership that each person in RCT has access to healthy, affordable, and sustainable food.

As we look towards gaining the Silver and Gold Awards. One of my first projects is to create a food strategy that reimagines what food and community within RCT will look like in 3 years’ time. The strategy and objectives will be created by all within the food partnership and will reflect the change that we all want to see. It is my aim to create an interconnected network of people and places that allows everyone in RCT to enjoy and celebrate food and a community where we share knowledge and ideas to build stronger partnerships.
