Description

Menopause is a term used to describe a natural stage in life which affects anyone who experiences periods.  Despite directly or indirectly affecting most of us, menopause is still often seen as a taboo subject and isn’t often discussed openly.

That’s why we have created a menopause support group. This group is:
- Open to everyone, regardless of age, sex, or gender, we all need to understand menopause!
- A respectful and safe space to share experiences, learn from each other and ask questions.

We will host regular meetings which will be a space to share, learn and communicate with one another and listen to guest speakers who will share their knowledge and experiences of menopause.

We have also created a closed team’s channel that you can join to communicate with each other outside of the meetings.

The next meeting will be hosting by Dr Pippa Meredith and, in line with the theme for World Menopause day, will look at menopause hormone therapy. We will discuss the different types of hormone treatments and the risks vs the benefits of these. There will also be time to ask questions.
