An assisted collection is for residents who have physical difficulties in carrying their recycling or waste to their bin collection point.
The Council operates this collect and return service, for an assisted collection from an alternate location.
- This assistance may be long or short term.
- These collections are available for residents who do not have assistance from another person (e.g. family, friend or neighbour).
- The Council reserves the right to withdraw this service if it has reason to believe a resident is no longer eligible.
Residents will be required to apply for an assisted collection, and an Awareness Officer will review whether the application for an assisted collection, and the location of the alternative bin collection point is appropriate.
Residents will be notified of the outcome of the application.
