Welsh Government funding for the Schools Essentials Grant 24-25 is available to learners in receipt of Free School Meals from age 4 entering Reception Class to Year 11. The value of the grant funding is £125 for All Year groups and £200 for Year 7.
If a learner is accessing a free meal via the ‘Welsh Government Universal Primary Free School Meals Scheme’ they cannot access the grant funding, a learner must be awarded Free School Meals via the application process to possibly access the grant.

The School Essentials Grant 24-25 for September 2024 entries will start administration from 1st July 2024 and schools will be informed of eligible learners and will contact families shortly after this date with an ‘SEG24’ code and the link to apply.
