What is a CAFCASS Cymru Guardian?

CAFCASS Cymru are an independent service (they don’t work for the Local Authority or the Court).

In court cases, the Cafcass Cymru Worker is called a Children’s Guardian. A Children’s Guardian is appointed by the court and their role is to make sure children are safe and that the decisions made about them are in their best interests.
