What is my child's Care and Support Plan?

If your child/young person is "looked after" or known as care experienced, we want to ensure that they have the right support to meet their needs.

All children who are looked after must have a Care and Support Plan that is reviewed within their looked after child (care and support plan) review meeting.

It is a document that details your child’s needs and how they are to be met. This will include where they live, contact with family and friends, their cultural, religious, health, educational and leisure needs. You may have been involved in developing the plan along with your child and others working with your child.

A copy of your child’s Care and Support Plan will be given to you, their carer and your child (dependent on their age).
