We complete an assessment alongside you and your child/children or family. We look at different areas of your child/children's (child/children you care for) lives.
For example, we look at your child’s health needs and education needs. We want to know what you and your child/children think is important and what you would like to change (if anything). With your permission we will talk to professionals in your child’s life to get as much information as possible.
Eligibility
A child will be eligible (suitable) for a service if:
- The need arises from circumstances such as their age or health.
- The need relates to their personal well-being outcomes.
- The need cannot be met by their parents, wider family or community services.
- The need can only be met by their local authority arranging or providing the service or making direct payments.
