The Classic Car Show is rolling into Rhondda Heritage Park Museum this Summer!

CCS2

The event offers a fantastic time for all the family, with the chance to see pristine classic cars and meet their enthusiastic and knowledgeable owners. It all takes place on Saturday, June 29th, 10am – 4pm.

The event is, as always, held in association with Glamorgan Classic Car Club. Entry is £3 per person and free for those aged 5 and under.  Tickets are available on the day or online here.

If you’re coming along to this year’s Classic Car Show, don’t forget you can also visit our brand new free, interactive exhibition, enjoy a meal, snack or afternoon tea at Caffe Bracchi, and pop into the gift shop to browse or add to your collection of souvenirs, classic Welsh gifts or local produce.

We’re also delighted to announce that our resident crafters, Craft of Hearts, will run a craft fair on the day.

Visitors are more than welcome to treat themselves to a Black Gold Underground tour, where they will be fitted with their miners’ helmet by a former collier and taken underground and back in time.

All of our tour guides are former coal miners who will share their personal stories and memories with you. Ride DRAM! A simulated experience in which the last coal of dram journeys to the top of the mine shaft – always a huge hit with visitors of all ages!

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said:

The Classic Car Show is always a great day out! It’s great to see vintage cars we rarely see on our roads these days and chat to their owners about the history of their vehicles.  Combined with the craft fair, underground tour and exhibitions on site, you can really make a day of it with the whole family.

Tickets for the Classic Car Show are available here. Tickets will also be available on the day.
