National Day Of Reflection 2023

Reflection

The Council will be marking the National Day of Reflection 2023 on Thursday, March 23, on the third anniversary of the first Covid-19 nationwide lockdown.

We will be joining others all around the country to observe a minute’s silence at noon to remember those people who lost their lives during the pandemic. It will also be the opportunity for all our residents and businesses to support those who are grieving and connect with each other.

Councillor Andrew Morgan OBE, Leader of Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, said: “The past three years have been incredibly difficult for so many people. The National Day Of Reflection will be the time for us all to acknowledge how in severe adversity, we saw strength and great courage across our County Borough as families, friends, work colleagues, neighbours and our local communities all united to help each other.

“We will never forget those dark days and tough times, or those people who were so cruelly taken from us, with loved ones not even having the opportunity to be at their sides in their hours of need.

“The National Day of Reflection is the opportunity for us all to be together and to acknowledge the lasting pain with compassion and love as we show those who are grieving that they are not alone.”

A minute’s silence will take place all over the country at noon on Thursday, March 23.
