Bus arrangements during road closure at Abergorki Industrial Estate

temporary-bus-arrangements

Please note, there will be temporary bus arrangements in place during an upcoming emergency road closure on Abergorki Industrial Estate in Treorchy, required for Transport for Wales works.

Upgrade works to Ynsywen Railway Station will be taking place between Saturday, December 23, and Sunday, January 7 (2024).

They require a 170-metre section of the industrial estate to be closed to traffic – from a point near the junction with Clinic Road.

The closure area and an alternative route for motorists are outlined on the following map on the Council’s website.

An alternative route will be clearly signposted via the industrial estate, Baglan Road, Ynyswen Road, Bute Street and Crichton Street. There will be marshals on site to assist HGVs with turning movements.

Access will not be maintained for emergency services, but will be maintained for pedestrians and to local premises. Cyclists should dismount and take the pedestrian route through the closure area.

For the duration of the works, Stagecoach Service 121 (Tonypandy-Blaenrhondda) will be unable to operate via the industrial estate. It will instead operate via Ynyswen Road in both directions.

Passengers attending Forest View Medical Centre should use the Ynyswen Railway Station bus stop on Ynyswen Road during these temporary arrangements.

Thanks to residents and public transport users in advance for your cooperation.
