Renewal of permits for those living in a residential parking zone

Residential parking permits can now be renewed for use beyond March 2022

The Council is reminding those people who live in a residential parking zone that their annual permits need to be renewed by March 31 – and that they can now complete this process in advance of the deadline.

Each year, the Council undertakes a significant exercise to renew more than 3,000 residential parking permits across Rhondda Cynon Taf. The existing parking permits are valid for the current financial year, ending on March 31, 2022 – and they need to be renewed for use from April 1, 2022.

Residential parking zones are designated areas where vehicles not belonging to local residents would, without the use of permits, make residential parking very difficult. A full list of parking zones is available on the Council’s website.

Each year, due to the large number of permits which need to be renewed across the County Borough, the Council asks residents to apply as soon as possible. This will ensure that all new permits can be returned on time.

The quickest and easiest way to renew a parking permit is on the Council’s website – at www.rctcbc.gov.uk/parkingpermitrenew. The entire process, including payment, can be completed through this avenue. As an alternative, residents can request a paper application form by calling 01443 425001.
