The Council is currently consulting upon amending the level of discretionary Home to School Transport provided from September 2025.

The PDF attachments below show individual Impact Maps for each primary school, secondary school and college.

Key for the maps –

The blue shaded regions on the maps show the areas that will be affected by the changes in the proposal.
The black square shows the location of the school.

If you are situated within one of these blue areas, then you may no longer be eligible for free school transport to the school characterised by the black square, under the proposed changes.

Please note that these maps are to give an indication of the impact to the affected areas only and this should not be relied upon as a precise measure of eligibility. Areas not shaded on the map will not be impacted by the proposal as they are either already ineligible for free transport or live beyond the distance and will be in receipt of free transport.

When measuring walking routes, the Council measures from each pupil home address to the school gate using Government standard Ordnance Survey data that is generally accepted to be the most accurate data available.
