We are currently consulting on the Proposed Extension to current Dog Controls in Rhondda Cynon Taf
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council introduced a PSPO on 1st October 2017 about dog controls in Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough, for a period of three years. The Council also introduced a PSPO about dog controls at Aberdare Public Park. In 2020 after consultation the Council renewed the PSPO. The orders need to be renewed every 3 years, so we are now seeking views to extend the orders for 3 years from the 1st October 2023.
We would like to hear your views regarding extending the Public Spaces Protection Order.
The detail is provided in the Cabinet Report and a summary of the consultation is available here: Dog Fouling Booklet
A draft Equality Impact Assessment and Welsh Language Impact Assessment have been prepared to support the proposals and will be updated to take into account all the stakeholder feedback received through this consultation process prior to any final decisions being made in relation to the proposal.
The consultation ends at 5pm on the 18th August 2023
