The Council launched its first Corporate Plan ‘The Way Ahead’ in 2016. The Plan set out the direction of the Council’s work for five years, set ambitious targets for improvement and focused on three areas of work that would improve the lives of the people and communities in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
We are now looking at what we need to do over the next five years and we need your help.
We have already looked at the progress made across RCT since 2016, what Welsh Government is asking us to do and what residents are already telling us about what matters. From this, we think that our three priorities are still mostly relevant but we need to check.

The consultation will close at 5pm on the 17th January 2020.
Planned priorities:
People: Helping our residents who are older, vulnerable or have disabilities to have a good quality of life.
Places: Keeping RCT clean through efficient street cleaning services, minimising the amount of waste we send to landfill, achieving our recycling targets through weekly recycling and regular refuse collections, and reducing our carbon footprint.
Prosperity: Investing in our town centres, bringing jobs and homes into our town centres to create vibrant, thriving places people wish to live, work and socialise.
