General election information 2024

In the 25 working days before the general election on 4 July 2024, there are key dates for nominating candidates and registering to vote. Key events that make elections possible are set out in legislation and must be followed by returning officers, who are responsible for the conduct of elections in their constituencies.

Rhondda Cynon Taf  CBC is the electoral administrator and is responsible for declaring the election results for the new Rhondda & Ogmore & Pontypridd Parliamentary Constituencies. Voter registration enquiries for Rhondda Cynon Taf residents who live in the newly form Aberdare & Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff North and Cardiff West constituencies should continue to contact us for queries or assistance in registering to vote.
