Live in RCT and have a disability, neuro-divergence, non-visible disability or caring responsibility? Have an interest in disability issues? Come along to the Disability Forum!

The Council’s Disability Forum is a membership group open to all residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf with a disability, caring responsibility or those who have an interest in disability or accessibility issues.

The Forum provides an opportunity to discuss the barriers you may face when accessing Council services, or Council related accessibility issues across Rhondda Cynon Taf. Your ideas on how to improve Council services are also welcomed.

Several meetings are held each year and are chaired by Councillor Maureen Webber, Deputy Leader of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council:

  • 2 meetings held in the Rhondda Valley with an agenda focussed on issues affecting people in the Rhondda area;
  • 2 meetings held in the Cynon Valley with an agenda focussed on issues affecting people in the Cynon area;
  • 2 meetings held in the Taf Ely area with an agenda focussed on issues affecting people in the Taf Ely area;
  • 1 joint RCT annual meeting where all members are invited to attend.

We want to make sure the Council’s services are as accessible and inclusive as possible and will use the meetings to:

  • listen to your feedback
  • invite relevant guest speakers to address your concerns
  • consult with you on various Council proposals
  • share information and keep you updated.
