The Bwllfa Trail is a circular walk around the valley floor of Dare Valley Country Park - built on land reclaimed from over a century of coal mining.
Offering stunning views of the lake and an abundance of wildlife including dippers on the stream, little grebe, coots and moorhens, this walk offers a perfect afternoon stroll.
The 3.5km walk starts and finishes at the Visitor Centre, and is way-marked with red arrows on red banded posts. Finish of with a cuppa and cake at the onsite cafe, a game of laser tag at Combat Zone Live or perhaps a visit to Greenmeadow Riding for a gentle canter with the horses.
Please note, the route splits into two at the lake, with a shorter (2km) accessible tarmac route allowing those with pushchairs and wheelchairs an opportunity to enjoy the lake.
