Temporary Public Rights of Way Closures

Apply for a Temporary Closure

Public Rights of Way can be temporarily closed or diverted to allow for works to be carried out safely on or near a path or following surface damage by way of a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO). These orders can last between one day and six months. If works are not completed within six months, an extension to the TTRO can be applied for. However, approval will need to be gained from the Welsh Government.

To apply to the Council for a temporary path closure, please contact the Public Rights of Way Team by email Countryside@rctcbc.gov.uk

Applications must be made at least 6 weeks in advance of the start date for the Temporary Closure.
