10: It's a chance to showcase some of the best of Rhondda Cynon Taf
Aberdare Festival 2019 is sponsored by family favourites Penaluna's Famous Fish and Chips. Even though we aren't on the coast (you can see it from here on a clear day) RCT is home to some of the best fish and chips in the UK - as the trophy shelf at Penaluna's shows. Try their delicious fare at the festival or, take a trip a few miles north up to Hirwaun, in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, and get your fish and chips to take away from Penaluna's shop. Enjoy al-fresco dining at the summit of the Rhigos Mountain, with spectacular views. If you fancy staying a little longer, you can camp at nearby Dare Valley Country Park or enjoy a local hotel and spend time exploring Lido Ponty, Welsh Mining Experience and our lovely open spaces.
