There are a number of sports facilities and sporting events that take place regularly at the park.

**Due to current restrictions in place as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, sports provision in the park is strictly limited.**

Swimming at the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty

Enjoy a dip for fun or contact us about the swimming clubs who use the Lido to train during warmer months.

Cricket

The cricket ground is the home to Ynysangharad Park Cricket Club and Pontypridd Cricket Club.

Football

The football grounds are home to two Welsh League teams

Tennis

There are three courts to choose from which are opened all year round!

Parkrun and Junior Parkrun

Parkrun takes place in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park every Saturday morning at 9am. It's a 5 k run - you against the clock!

Junior Parkrun takes place in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park every Sunday morning at 9am. It's a 2K run with the aim to have fun. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!

The Taff Trail and The Celtic Trail

Enjoy the Taff Trail that runs for 55 miles from Wales' thriving City of Cardiff right the way to Brecon. Also explore the Celtic Trail which runs across Wales at its widest point from Chepstow to Fishguard. The both trails pass through Ynysangharad War Memorial Park. Whether this is your starting point, or your coffee break enjoy the breathtaking beauty of our park.
