Dogs

We welcome dogs in our park but would appreciate if you could keep them on the lead and clean up after them. For more information, please refer to our Public Spaces Protection Order

Getting here

By car

Aberdare Park is located less than a mile from Aberdare Town centre off the B4275 (Hirwaun Road). If you are using a SAT-NAV, our postcode is CF44 8BN.

Disabled car park

Our disabled car park is located in Aberdare Park. The entrance is off Glan Road (roughly half way up the hill from the traffic lights on the corner of the White Lion), on the right hand side.

Alternative car parking facilities

By bus

Stagecoach runs regular services from Aberdare Bus Station towards Aberdare Park. There are several bus stops located alongside the B4275 (Hirwaun Road). Services No:  6; 7; 8; 9; 11A; 11C; 89. Service runs approximately every 10 minutes.

By train

Transport for Wales runs a regular service from Cardiff Central or Pontypridd to Aberdare Train Station (every 30 minutes). The train station is 5 minutes away from Aberdare bus station/ taxi ramp.
