Terms and Conditions Companies

Thank you for choosing to become a member of our Corporate Leisure for Life Membership Scheme. This document incorporates the terms and conditions affecting the Scheme.

Definitions

References to ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ are references to Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council

References to ‘you’, ‘your’ and ‘yours’ is a reference to the individual completing the Application Form

‘the Agreement’ means the membership agreement relating to the Scheme entered into between you and us, which incorporates the Application Form and these Terms and Conditions

‘the Application Form’ means the application form completed by you in advance of becoming a member of the Scheme

‘the Employer’ means the company or organisation of which, at the time of signing the Application Form, you are an employee

’the Scheme’ means the Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council’s Corporate Leisure for Life Membership Scheme which offers you (and your partner, where applicable) benefits and discounts we offer from time to time at our Leisure Centres. [Full details of the specific Scheme benefits and discounts are available from us on request.]

‘the Scheme Start Date’ means the date agreed between us and as to commencement of the Scheme

‘the Scheme Subscription Costs’ means the amount to be collected by Direct Debit  requests on a monthly basis by us to enable you (and your partner, where applicable) to participate in the Scheme. [The amount shall be communicated to you by your Employer in advance of completing the Application Form]

Scheme Membership Details

You (and your partner, where applicable) agree to be bound by the Agreement

The Scheme is open to you (and your partner, where applicable) so long as your Employer continues to participate in the Scheme or, in the event that your Employer ceases its participation in the Scheme, at our discretion.

The monthly cost of the membership to you may change during the term of the Agreement in line with any annual price increases of the Authority.

We reserve the right to refuse any application for membership of the Scheme

The term of the Agreement between you and us shall be for a period of 12 months (the ‘Term’) commencing on the Scheme Start Date during which you agree to pay the Scheme Subscription Costs upfront or via 12 monthly payments

In exceptional circumstances (such as an unforeseen dramatic change of personal circumstance, injury or illness, which would limit your ability to use facilities)   we will allow early cancellation of the agreement before the end of the agreed term, All requests for early cancellation must be in writing or email and each individual request is viewed on a case by case basis.

At our discretion, there will be opportunities, usually at the start of each month , for new employees and associated partners of the Employer to join the Scheme for a 12 month Term from that date.

Should you cease to be employed by your Employer for any reason and at any point during the Term of the Agreement we reserve the right to allow your membership to continue for the remained of term left or if you do want to leave the scheme this can be arranged by agreement

For the avoidance of doubt you (and your partner, where applicable) remain entitled to use the Scheme for the remaining period of the Agreement subject to continued payment,  of the Scheme Subscription Costs for the remaining period of the Agreement.

You (and your partner, where applicable) agree to comply with all our Leisure Centre policies, rules, regulations and procedures

Scheme Membership

As a member of the Scheme you (and your partner, where applicable) will receive a Scheme membership card. The Scheme membership card is valid for the duration of the Agreement and is non-transferable
You (and your partner, where applicable) can use your membership card at any of our Leisure Centres during normal operating hours and subject to the availability of facilities

The membership card is issued by us and remains our property. Your card is evidence of your membership and you (and your partner, where applicable) will be required to produce this in certain circumstances

In accordance with normal booking procedures, the Scheme membership entitles you (and your partner, where applicable) to book facilities at our Leisure Centres up to 7 days in advance, by quoting the  membership card number. Cancellation of any bookings is subject to our standard booking terms and conditions (copies of which are available on request)

The membership card must be produced by you (and your partner, where applicable) on each visit in order to receive the full benefits of the Scheme. The membership card must be signed by the member named on the front of the card

The membership card cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions we may run form time to time.

If you move address please contact us in writing at ‘’ Leisure Membership Team, Abercynon Sports Centre, Parc Abercynon, Abercynon, CF45 4UY‘’ or by e-mail at leisuremembership@rctcbc.gov.uk where we will update your details. Please quote your Scheme membership card number, name and postcode to help us to find your record

Should you (and your partner, where applicable) lose or damage your Scheme membership card a replacement card can be issued to you at any of our centres (identification may be required)

If your (or your partners, where applicable) Scheme membership card is lost or stolen you must notify us immediately by telephone on 01443 562202 or via e-mail at leisuremembership@rctcbc.gov.uk If we do not receive notification of the loss and the Scheme membership card is subsequently used by a third party to make a booking at any of our Leisure Centres, then you may be liable for the cost of the booking

We reserve the right to cancel or withdraw the Agreement and/or prevent access to our Leisure Centres should you (or your partner, where applicable) be found to have breached any part of it or there is a breach of any Leisure Centre regulations

We reserve the right to cancel, withdraw or change the terms and conditions of the Scheme at any time without giving you notice and at our discretion

Data protection

We take our responsibilities for data seriously.  We will only use your information for the purposes of the Scheme and in accordance with current data protection laws

Liability:- We and our employees, officers and agents will not be liable in any way for the loss of, or damage to, or theft of your (or your partners, where applicable) property or for personal injury and death except to the extent that such loss, damage or personal injury or death arises from our wilful act, negligence or default
