Renting homes in Wales is changing

The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 will be introduced by Welsh Government on 1st December 2022 and affects every tenant and landlord in the public and private rented sector.

The new Act will standardise contracts, make it simpler to rent a home in Wales and make the responsibilities of both landlords and tenants clearer.
