Section 5 of the Licensing Act 2003 places a requirement on each Licensing Authority to publish a Statement of Licensing Policy to outline how the authority will exercise its licensing functions under the Act in respect of licences for the sale of alcohol, provision of entertainment and provision of late night refreshment.
The current licensing policy statement is in the process of being reviewed. The draft Policy Statement is attached for your consideration. The Authority is keen to consult as widely as possible as the sale, supply and consumption of alcohol affects many aspects of our community life. The Authority will consider very carefully all response received.
The consultation will be open from 24th June 2019 to 2nd August 2019.
