Landlord Forum

Thousands of RCT residents live in homes that are privately rented via landlords and agencies. As such, it is vital we maintain strong and effective links with the Privated Rented Sector to ensure it continues to meet the housing needs of our communities to the highest standards.

There is growing recognition and appreciation of the vital role the Private Rented Sector plays in meeting the housing needs of our communities.

The sectors' ability to adapt to change and to develop diverse, flexible and innovative models of accommodation and management has seen it grow to a position where, in most areas, it is now the second largest form of tenure.

Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is developing services and initiatives to support the Private Rented Sector and enable the provision of good quality, well managed housing options on behalf of residents.

Consulting with landlords and developing services and initiatives according to identified needs is a fundamental objective of the council and provides opportunities to work in partnership with the private rented sector in meeting housing needs.

The ability to engage with representatives at all levels of the Private Rented Sector is vital if services and initiatives are to prove effective and achieve the objectives for which they were designed.
