What Services Are Available to Help Me Find Work or Training?

We have teamed up with the Employment, Education & Training Team to offer you a range of services that can help you find work or training.

You can now get help and advice from the following organisations and programmes:

Care2Work

The Care2Work programme provides young people aged 16-25 who have left care, along with children looked after and young people with care and support needs to identify and access a range of training and employment opportunities.

Step in the Right Direction Programme.

This is a two-year paid traineeship programme for children looked after aged 16-25 living in and leaving care in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Support is provided to enable you to gain valuable work experience and training to improve your employability skills, and help you gain full time employment at the end of the programme. You will develop your skills, knowledge and work experience within RCT Council.

Job Centre Plus

Jobcentre Plus is an employment agency and social security office, funded by the government, that can help you to find employment. They provide resources to help you find work, and can offer information about potential training opportunities.
