We recognise that when a child in the family has a disability it can impact on their siblings. Siblings may also provide a caring role and may not be able to undertake activities with other young people. They might be considered as a Young Carer.
In RCT there is support available. Please speak to your Social Worker/Assessor Care Manager to find out more. You can also see the Young Carers information.
A referral can also be made to Resilient Families Service (RFS) for support for siblings of a child with a disability.
